Liposuction
Stubborn bulges and deposits of localized fat in the abdomen, hips, thighs, chin, neck, upper arms, knees, calves, and ankles can be difficult or even impossible to remove with traditional diet and exercise. Our San Antonio and Austin area patients often turn to liposuction to help combat these resistant fat pockets and create a leaner, more defined shape. This popular procedure does not lead to extreme weight loss, but good liposuction candidates can expect a dramatic change in the fit or size of their clothing and a more appealing body contour. Typically performed as an outpatient procedure under general or local anesthesia, liposuction can be used to treat multiple areas at the same time with minimal risk of noticeable scarring, and most patients return to work and normal activities in one to two weeks. To further enhance their results, many of our San Antonio and Austin area patients combine their liposuction procedure with abdominoplasty.
