Liposuction is a surgical procedure that is designed to slim and reshape specific areas of the body where there are deposits of fat that may be out of proportion to the rest of the body. Plastic Surgeon Dr. Charles Messa located in Weston, FL, was approached by this patient who was self conscious about the excess fat and skin located on her abdominal wall. Dr. Messa suggested a tummy tuck (abdominoplasty) and liposuction procedure. He informed her of what the procedure entailed, a horizontal incision from one side o f her stomach to the other, removal of excess fat and skin, and tightening of the abdominal wall. The surgery left her with a flatter and younger looking stomach as seen by the liposuction before and after photos.
