Welcome to Graper Cosmetic Surgery

We are often asked what kind of people have cosmetic surgery? They are people just like you and your friends who want to feel better about their appearance. Whether it's changing a family nose or erasing the effects of time and sun, cosmetic surgery can safely and reliably produce the desired change. Let us guide you through the new plastic surgery technology to select the procedure that is right for you. For we know what you want. Safety. Honesty Predictability Privacy. Every procedure performed at Graper Cosmetic Surgery meets these criteria. Our goal is to offer you a safe and comfortable environment before, during and after your surgery, with the results being an improved image for yourself

We know that learning about the possibilities of cosmetic surgery can be very exciting, but also somewhat intimidating. After more than 10 years of caring for cosmetic surgery patients, I understand what makes patients feel comfortable. First, they want to know that without a doubt, the procedure they are considering is safe. They need to feel that their doctor is honest and has recommended the best procedure for their individual case. Patients want to know that their doctor is an expert in his field and will reliably and predictably produce a superior result. And lastly, patients want privacy. Plastic surgery is a very personal event that we will guide you through with care and compassion. After all, I really do know what you want and this entire practice is built upon meeting those needs and expectations.

The Process At A Glance

After calling Graper Cosmetic Surgery, a packet of information regarding our practice and the specific procedures of interest will be mailed to you. Scheduling your personal consultation is the next step. During that consultation, Dr. Graper will review your medical history, discuss your cosmetic concerns and perform an examination of the areas involved. He will then outline different treatment options, recovery period, risks, benefits and costs. The consultation fee is deducted from the cost of your surgery. Fees quoted at the time of consultation are good for six months. After a thorough review of all the medical information and financial considerations, you will have the necessary information to make an informed choice about whether cosmetic surgery is right for you.

Once you decide to proceed, our surgery coordinator will arrange the best time and date for the surgery. We request that all patients have basic lab tests such as blood count and serum chemistries. All patients over 50 years of age are required to have a recent exam by a medical doctor clearing them for surgery. Any patient with known medical problems will have those issues addressed before surgery. These measures are taken to ensure the safety of our patients. Our surgery coordinator will arrange any additional medical exams and schedule laboratory tests as needed.

Patient Care Before, During and After Surgery

Your preoperative appointment will be scheduled no later than two weeks before surgery to review the preoperative preparations. You will receive the appropriate prescriptions and general instructions for the day of surgery. Our surgery coordinator will confirm that the appropriate compression garments have been purchased (if needed) and answer any questions.

The day of your surgery, you will arrive approximately one hour before the procedure is scheduled to begin. This time allows us to prepare you for surgery. Patients must not eat or drink anything for six hours prior to surgery to avoid difficulties with anesthesia. Everyone should have transportation home arranged as no one will be safe to drive themself. We recommend that patients have someone stay with them the first night after their procedure.

After surgery, you will wake up in the recovery room. Our compassionate nursing staff will provide total care to ensure your recovery period is safe and smooth.  You will go home with instruction sheets and a follow-up appointment within 2-4 days. Dr. Graper will personally call that evening to answer any new questions and make sure you are resting comfortably. For your follow-up appointment, Graper Cosmetic Surgery has a special waiting room for you to maximize comfort, privacy and speed of your visit.

As your recovery progresses, Graper Cosmetic Surgery will refer you to any one of a select number of salons or spas in the area for a complimentary package to enhance your surgery. No operative result is perfect and all results take time to develop into the final effect. We will guide you through each stage of the process to assure you of the safest possible result that is a reliable and predictable improvement.
