About Our Office
We pride ourselves on making your entire experience with us pleasurable. Private entrances and exit ways lead to our separate pre and post procedure reception areas. This helps to ensure your privacy and maintain your confidentiality. The Georgia Institute for Plastic Surgery's state-of-the-art surgical center is equipped to perform minor procedures as well as most cosmetic operations. The surgery center is independently certified and equipped to hospital standards. A 23-hour unit with skilled plastic surgery nurses is available for your post-operative care if necessary.
The opportunity to have your surgery performed in our office rather than a hospital adds to your convenience, privacy and less expense.
The Georgia Institute for Plastic Surgery also offers aesthetic services. We have a full time licensed aesthetician who offers a wide range of services from facials to waxings. Other ancillary services include Endermologie treatments and laser hair removal.
Our primary surgery center is located in Savannah, Georgia with satellite offices located in Bluffton/ Hilton Head, S.C.; Statesboro; Vidalia; Springfield; Hinesville and Richmond Hill for your convenience.

About The Doctors
David H. Smith, M.D.
Dr. Smith received his AB degree from Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire and his medical degree at Duke University School of Medicine in Durham, NC. He performed a General Surgery Internship and Residency at the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond, Virginia and his Residency in Plastic, Maxillofacial and Reconstructive Surgery at Duke University Medical Center. He subsequently also performed a Christine Kleinert Fellowship in Hand Surgery at the University of Louisville, Louisville, Kentucky. Dr. Smith is Board Certified by both The American Board of Plastic Surgery and The American Board of Surgery. and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
Dr. Smith has been in private practice in Savannah since 1977. He is an active member of the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, The Lipoplasty Society, American Cleft Palate Association, Southeastern Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons and the Georgia Society of Plastic Surgeons.
Dr. Smith has contributed to the literature in both General and Plastic Surgery and is an Assistant Clinical Professor, Department of Surgery, Medical College Georgia, Augusta.
Richard J. Greco, M.D.
Dr. Greco received his undergraduate degree from Ursinus College, Collegeville, Pennsylvania (Summa Cum Laude) and his Medical Degree from Thomas Jefferson Medical College, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He then completed his General Surgery Residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, a Fellowship in Hand Surgery at The Hand Center, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and a Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Residency at the University of Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Dr. Greco is Board Certified in both General Surgery and Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He has also earned a Certificate of Added Qualifications in Hand Surgery.
Over the past 10 years, Dr. Greco has performed well over 10,000 operations on both children and adults. Dr. Greco has been on the Montel Williams Show and 20/20 and has been quoted in many lay journals including Allure and the London Times. Professional Memberships
Dr. Greco is an active member of and serves on national committees for: American Society of Plastic Surgeons, American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, The Lipoplasty Society, The American Society for Surgery of the Hand and The American Medical Association.
Dr Greco was an Assistant Professor at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. His research has resulted in two patents and led to new surgical practices. Dr Greco's current research is in Massive Liposuction and New Facelift Healing Techniques. He has given over 100 presentations for local, national, and international audiences. Publications
Dr. Greco has authored over 25 scientific papers, including six medical textbook chapters. His has also edited a book, Emergency Plastic Surgery. Dr Greco is married and has four children. They enjoy golf, tennis and exploring the coastal waterways on jet skis. A transplant to the South, The Grecos love the people, weather and lifestyle in Savannah. Dr. Greco recently enjoyed giving back to the Savannah community as the ADA "Kiss A Pig" candidate and winner as the top fundraiser.
William Dascombe, M.D.
Dr. Dascombe attended Davidson College in Davidson, North Carolina and received his Medical Degree at East Carolina University School of Medicine. He completed his General Surgery Residency in Norfolk, Virginia and his Research Fellowship and Plastic Surgery Residency in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania, both with Honors.
Dr. Dascombe is Board Certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery.
Over the past 12 years, Dr. Dascombe has performed over 15,000 operations on children and adults. Dr. Dascombe specializes in cosmetic surgery. His experience with cosmetic surgery is extensive as he has performed over 1000 breast augmentations, 300 breast lifts, 800 breast reductions, 500 tummy tucks, 500 liposuctions, 200 facelifts, and 100 rhinoplasties.
He has operated on over 1000 individuals with skin cancer.
Dr. Dascombe has authored over a dozen scientific papers, including 3 book chapters. His writing has focused on the healing of the skin. He has won awards for teaching medical students and residents in training. He has given over 100 presentations for local, regional, national and international audiences. Dr. Dascombe has garnished numerous grants to study the growth of skin and wound healing. He has performed research at National Institutes of Health, Norfolk, Virginia, and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Dr. Dascombe is a daily runner and has coached Junior High track teams. He is an Eagle Scout and has functioned as a Junior Assistant Scout Master. He is on the board of the YMCA. Dr. Dascombe is a student of the pipe organ and classic guitar. He enjoys catamaran sailing and other water sports.
Dr. Dascombe’s primary plastic surgery office is in Savannah, Georgia. He also has plastic surgery offices in Statesboro, Georgia and Vidalia, Georgia where he addresses the skin cancer and cosmetic surgery needs of those who live in Claxton, Hazlehurst, Metter, Swainsboro, McRae, Reidsville, Sylvania, and Baxley.
John D. Paletta, M.D.
Dr. Paletta is a graduate of The University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. He completed a Residency in General Surgery at York Hospital in York, PA and is Board Certified by The American Board of Surgery. He also completed his Plastic Surgery training at the highly esteemed University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.Prior to relocating to Savannah, Dr. Paletta was the interim Chief of the Division of Plastic Surgery at Creighton University Medical Center. He also was the Assistant Professor of Surgery at Creighton University and Clinical Assistant Professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at The University of Nebraska. In addition to establishing a robust plastic surgery practice, Dr. Paletta was very active in the teaching of medical students and other physicians. He enjoys all aspects of plastic surgery for both children and adults.

Dr. Most was born in Virginia and raised all over the world. He is married, with one daughter. He is fluent in Spanish.
Dr. Most is on staff at Memorial Health University Medical Center, and the St. Joseph/Candler Health System. In addition, he is a participating provider for most insurance policies.
