Education
- Undergraduate: Emory University, Atlanta, Georgia
- M.D.: University of Louisville School of Medicine, Louisville, Kentucky
"To truly make a body and face more beautiful, a plastic surgeon has to understand and skillfully work with the structure of the human body, down to microscopic blood vessels, muscles and nerves. In addition, the surgeon has to understand that the patient's experience during the process also needs special care - technical skills are not enough. The surgeon has to provide reassurance and support all the way through the process, managing the patient's anxiety and expectations."
As a world renowned, Houston Plastic Surgeon, Dr. Schusterman has established his reputation through his research and development of microsurgical reconstruction techniques in the aid of head, neck and breast cancer patients. The associated challenges have endowed him with considerable knowledge and understanding of the human body and have finely honed his surgical skills, particularly when it comes to plastic and cosmetic surgery.
Working with people in crisis, such as cancer patients, takes special people skills - empathy, compassion and caring. The spirit and emotions of the patient need as much attention as the body for the healing to be a complete success. Dr. Schusterman has learned those skills and applies them to his plastic and cosmetic surgery patients today.
A graduate of Emory University and the University of Louisville School of Medicine, Dr. Schusterman is in private practice in Houston, Texas, where his office is located in the heart of the Texas Medical Center.

From the moment you walk through the door, my staff and I are committed to your safety, satisfaction and well being. Let’s work together and achieve your goals of becoming a more beautiful you.
Welcome to Museum District Aesthetics of Houston, Texas. There are many important decisions you will need to make before having plastic surgery. One of the first and most important is choosing a competent plastic surgeon with whom you feel comfortable and relaxed with. Consultations should not be stressful and you should feel at ease with the surgeon right from the start. We at MD Aesthetics do not believe in pressuring any patient into surgery at any time. In fact, we encourage all of our patients to get a second opinion. Any elective surgery is a big decision and there is only one right time, when you are ready.
Your safety and well being are extremely important to us. We take the time to make sure you are completely informed about the surgical procedure itself in addition to the potential risks and complications. We provide this information because we do not want you to become one of the many people in this country that have plastic surgery by an untrained plastic surgeon or, worse yet, an untrained non-physician. This way, you will leave our office more secure and confident about you choices.
