Dr. Murphy received his medical degree from the University of Nevada School of Medicine. He went on to complete his general surgery training at Swedish Medical Center in Seattle, Washington. He received his plastic surgery training at Wake Forest University at Baptist Medical Center in North Carolina. Dr. Murphy is a board certified plastic surgeon with the American Board of Plastic Surgery, and a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons.

Dr. Murphy currently has one of the busiest and most respected cosmetic and reconstructive practices in Northern Nevada. Dr. Murphy’s easy-going bedside manner allows his patients to feel at ease enough to relay their desires and ask any questions about the procedures. Dr. Strand brought over 29 years of experience to Northern Nevada Plastic Surgery. He holds the distinct title as Chief of Surgical Services for St. Mary’s Hospital. Dr. Strand is also a clinical professor of surgery at the University of Nevada, Reno. He is a trusted name in plastic surgery in Northern Nevada.

Dr. Strand is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and a member of both the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. After graduating with a medical degree from the University of Illinois, he completed his plastic surgery training at the University of Wisconsin. He went on to complete a fellowship in hand surgery at Northwestern University.
