Dr. Navin Singh is a Board-Certified plastic surgeon in private practice and an Assistant Professor of Plastic Surgery in the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He is also a clinical assistant professor of Neurosurgery as well as Gynecology because of his extensive experience in reconstruction of neurologic and gynecologic structures. He is licensed in Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, DC and practices at Sibley, Suburban, INOVA Fairfax, Johns Hopkins, and Shady Grove Hospitals. A portion of Dr. Singh's practice is based at Johns Hopkins Hospital which has been consistently ranked No. 1 in the nation by U.S. News and World Report for 18 years in a row.
Educated in New York, Boston, and Washington, DC, he received his Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and Mathematics from Brown University and during his M.D. curriculum graduated at the top of his medical class. He also holds a Masters of Science in Clinical Biostatistics from Harvard. After completing his plastic surgery training at Johns Hopkins, including a fellowship in craniofacial reconstruction and microsurgery, he earned an MBA.

Via his training at the upper echelons in Shock Trauma, microsurgery, laser surgery, endoscopic techniques, and ultrasonic-assisted lipoplasty, he is a seasoned surgeon. His practice is limited to craniomaxillofacial, breast, and body cosmetic surgery.
Dr. Singh maintains an active surgical practice focusing on breast surgery and body surgery (tissue expander/implant, DIEP or TRAM flap, reduction, lifts, augmentation), aesthetic cosmetic surgery such as rhinoplasty, facelifts, and injectables, microvascular surgery, and abdominal wall reconstruction. His research interests include minimally invasive surgery, laser techniques, and computer/robotic-assisted plastic surgery. Dr. Singh speaks nationally and internationally on these topics and is a requested speaker at the major medical centers here in the USA and has been sought to perform surgery on numerous international dignitaries and royalty both here and abroad. Dr. Singh’s services have been requested by royalty, ambassadors, politicians, authors, and contestants of the Miss America and Miss Universe pageants, and the Washington Redskins cheerleaders. In fact, he has been requested to operate on the family members of nurses, plastic surgeons, as well as on other plastic surgeons themselves. Patients have flocked to him, travelling specifically to have a consult with him from Dubai, Hong Kong, Latin America, and Germany.
Dr. Singh is widely published because of his numerous research studies and has authored influential papers on cosmetic surgery in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and Annals of Plastic Surgery, and is on the editorial board of The Aesthetic Surgery Journal and Microsurgery. He has contributed book chapters for Current Therapy in Plastic Surgery, AO Manual of Internal Fixation of the Craniomaxillofacial Skeleton, and Current Surgical Therapy. He even has a children’s book devoted to cleft lip children awaiting repair to his credit. He holds several patents for surgical devices for placement of silicone gel implants, and created WikiPlast—an online wiki of plastic surgery knowledge for surgeons and patients alike.
He is on several committees of national surgical organizations such as The Association of Academic Chairmen in Plastic Surgery, American Society of Maxillofacial Surgeons, The American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, and The American College of Surgeons, as well as a founding member of the Society of Aesthetic Breast Surgeons. He was awarded the prestigious “Certificate of Advanced Education in Cosmetic Surgery” by ASAPS, and is often consulted by the local and national media. His patient for breast enhancement and lift was on the national panel for the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery in 2006, and his patients were featured as the national Patients of Courage in 2004 and again in 2008 for the American Society of Plastic Surgeons !
As an educator, he has taught at Board Certification review courses and writes for the annual in-training examination for plastic surgery, and has twice been the recipient of the Teacher of the Year award at Johns Hopkins and the Osler Teaching Award in 2008. He has been voted among America’s Top Physicians and America’s Top Plastic Surgeons by the Consumer Research Council of America. He has been featured in both print and broadcast media (Discovery Channel, Maryland Public Television, Fox, Daily Café, Capitol File, Baltimore Magazine, Conde Nast Traveler, Self, Allure and Glamour) for his innovative work at the forefront of cutting-edge technology, and received the Hero Award from the Shock Trauma Center.
He is involved in philanthropy – and spends about 4-6 weeks of his personal time each year on surgical missions to Ecuador, India, Peru, Philippines, and China with Interplast, OpSmile, and CareForKids to help those less fortunate than us—performing birth defect repairs such as cleft lip and burns. He also founded a plastic surgery think tank-Plastic Surgery Advisors as well as a 501-3-c corp for charitable activities. As an advocate for patients, he sits on the Research Commission of the ASPS as well as the Government Affairs Committee, and is the advisor for the Breast Health Center of the National Women’s Health Resource Center, past Director of the Johns Hopkins Avon Breast Center and is currently the Director of the National Capital Breast Reconstruction Fellowship in Bethesda, and has spent 10 years teaching young residents Johns Hopkins in state of the art cosmetic surgery and reconstruction. Additionally, Navin serves as the current Chair of the Data Safety Monitoring Board for Breast Implants for Allergan, Inc.
With over 16 years of experience in medicine and 10 years in specializing in Plastic Surgery, having been Director of Microsurgery and Craniofacial Surgery at Shock Trauma and Director of Breast Surgery and Cosmetic Surgery Education at Johns Hopkins, Dr. Singh has limited his practice to facial aesthetic surgery and breast and body contouring.
